Peter was born and raised in London. He worked for the London Fire Brigade for nearly 30 years, 20 years of which was as a Fire Safety/Operational Station Officer or above. The final years of his service was as a Senior Fire Safety Officer for South East London responsible for the fire safety of about 2,000,000 people and in charge of about 700 staff.

Following retirement through injury at a fire and spending some time abroad with his yacht he returned to the UK and worked for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service as a Technical Fire Safety Officer with responsibility for some of the major buildings across Dorset.

Peter was 'Head hunted' by Bournemouth Council and worked for the Council for 10 years being responsible for fire safety in about 300 premises ranging from the Bournemouth International Centre to Day Centres including 41 schools, some Residential Care Homes and Libraries etc.

Peter is able to offer impartial advice to architects, contractors and clients in all areas of industry and commerce and those with a particular responsibility for the safety of others. With the major change in fire safety legislation in 2006, more responsibility is being placed on 'the responsible person' to ensure compliance with that legislation. Peter can assist you with complying with all those fire safety requirements.
