About PS Associates

John served as a police officer for twenty years, the last ten years of which in the rank of sergeant. He spent five years as an area traffic sergeant, specialising in dealing with serious and fatal road traffic accidents. As a result he gained a passion for promoting road safety matters.

John commenced a second career, in health and safety with nine years in industrial health and safety, during which time he qualified as a corporate member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (M.I.O.S.H.) by examination, and as a Registered Safety Practitioner (RSP) by Continuing Professional Development.

He has worked for two Local Authorities as a health and safety advisor involving housing and building maintenance, theatres, leisure centres and other public places. Latterly, his expertise has been used in all aspects of health and safety with a Local Authority Social Services department, particularly specialising in personal and fire safety.
