Fire Safety

If you are responsible for the running of business premises.

Are you aware that you are legally required to have a Fire Risk Assessment?

Have you carried out yours?

Are you confused about the requirements of the new Fire Safety Order 2005 with regard to training your staff?

Each individual company or organisation will be responsible for its own fire safety. The employer must conduct a fire risk assessment regardless of the size of the risk. Employees must be trained in fire safety and evacuation.

The new fire Safety Order 2005 comes into force on the 1st April 2006. It consolidates a whole range of fire safety legislation, repealing some 100 laws, including the Fire Precautions Act and the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations. Fire Certificates will no longer be required.

We provide:

Training to enable managers to carry out their own fire risk assessment.
Training to their staff either individually or in small groups.

Training is based on the particular features of your workplace and:

  • Explains emergency procedures
  • Takes account of the work activity, the duties and responsibilities of employees
  • Takes account of the findings of the risk assessment and
  • Is easily understandable by your employees and persons visiting the premises

Training includes practical exercises to check people’s understanding of the emergency plan and make them familiar with its operation.
